Well it's almost summer and I haven't been pike fishing in ages. June is a time for tench though and after some false starts I managed to get a few. Three days at a hard water produced nothing, not even a bite. I moved every time in an effort to find the fish though and eventually it paid off. On day four, I got two fish at once (typical) and amazingly they both weighed 7lbs 7oz. That wasn't the end of it though, I managed others of 6lbs 3oz, 6lbs 6oz (male), 8lbs 3oz and this corker of 9lbs 4oz.
I got a few hours in the next day as well but it was much slower with just one tench of 8lbs exactly. It's all a secret though, don't tell anyone shhhhh!
